ABR Electrode

ABR Electrodes are used in Auditory Brainstem Response Evaluations

ABR evaluation is commonly used for infants and toddlers and if required also for older children and adults to further access the auditory nerve and the pathways along the brainstem. The aim of this computerized test is to evaluate how well sounds travel along the hearing nerve pathways from the ear to the brainstem. Four small ABR electrodes are attached to the head so that the response to sound using a special computer can be recorded.
